What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness: the practice of being aware of your body, mind, and feelings in the present moment. Practicing mindfulness on a regular basis, even just for a short time, brings a variety of amazing benefits. Mindfulness can help us cope with depression, boost our psychological well-being, decrease stress and anxiety, minimize the amount of time feeling overwhelmed, and help us appreciate each small moment as it happens.
Mindfulness has also been known to benefit the body physically. Mindfulness has been linked to pain reduction, especially for chronic pain conditions such as lower back pain, fibromyalgia, and other musculoskeletal pain. In addition to practicing mindfulness we will also focus on the importance of stretching.
